Camargue, bounded by the Rhone delta, is composed of a mosaic of wetlands. Between channels, ponds, swamps, flooded grasslands, rice fields, along the Rhone and the sea, Camargue is a flat terrain where the fauna and flora depends of the salinity of water. Stop for many migratory waterbirds it is also the privileged place in Europa for flamingos breeding. Part of the Camargue is protected by a Regional Natural Park and a Biosphere Reserve.
